Huckabee Moving into View!

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll--
Huckabee Leads
The tide is turning...and we are starting to see who is beginning to sink and WHO is proving to be the best swimmer in this 2008 Presidential campaign race. HAVE YOU NOTICED????
Lately, all eyes are on Mike Huckabee. And believe me, if you noticed that suddenly a bunch of mud has been kicked around regarding Gov. Huckabee...you can bet your behind that the threat of his winning the GOP Presidental nomination spot is in fact, REAL.You only have to worry when the mud is NOT being tossed at a canidate. The lack of mudslinging is a lack of concern that the individual is even a real threat.
We see this proof in the Democratic contenders, since Obama's Kindergarten rep is under fire and is publicly being denounced by Hillary...Hillary suddenly sees Obama as a REAL threat....too bad she doesn't got sht on the guy. Now to me, Obama is a Liberal Democrat, and that is enough mud for me to accept that he is not qualified to be President of the United States. However, you got to admit that Obama is "like-able"..unlike Hillary. The GOP could tear Obama to shreds based on his policy positions alone! But Hillary needs character and personal defaults of a great magnitude to defame her own kin..and that, she just does not have on the guy.
Now Huckabee is in the hot seat; and it is Rudy and Mitt (and the Liberal media, of course) who are throwing the mud at him suddenly. 2 months ago Rudy and Mitt only cared about eachother's mishaps or character defaults. And the mainstream Liberal media could have cared less about Gov. Mike Huckabee. So, it is OBVIOUS with the latest National polls placing Mike Huckabee at the top, that the former two top tier GOP'ers have locked, loaded and aimed AK 40 mudslingers right at Gov. Huckabee. So be aware!
Here an article from December 5th, 2007:
This was published by the popular and highly reliable Rasmussen Report today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Wednesday, December 05, 2007
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows a new national leader in the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination. While enjoying an amazing surge, Mike Huckabee has earned support from 20% of Likely Republican Primary Voters nationwide. Three points back, at 17%, is Rudy Giuliani. That's the lowest level of support ever recorded for Giuliani in the tracking poll and represents a seven-point decline over the past week.
Huckabee has gained eight points during the same time frame (see recent daily numbers). Just as significant as the new leader is the amazingly competitive nature of the race. Five candidates are within ten points of the lead and all five could conceivably become the party's eventual nominee. In addition to Huckabee and Giuliani, John McCain and Mitt Romney are at 13%, and Fred Thompson is at 10% (see recent daily numbers). In what could become a major moment in the campaign, Romney will give a speech on faith and religion Thursday. Huckabee recently declined to comment on Romney's faith but did say it was appropriate to discuss religion in a campaign setting (see video). Ron Paul is the only other candidate with measurable support and he currently attracts 7% of Likely Republican Primary voters nationwide. Results for the Presidential Tracking Poll are obtained through nightly telephone interviews and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Next update scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern. Huckabee has also moved in front of Hillary Clinton in the state of Arkansas.
Polls recently released by other firms have recently shown Huckabee surging but Giuliani still retaining his lead. For example, a recent Gallup poll showed Giuliani leading Huckabee by nine percentage points. The difference between the two results is partly the result of timing as Rasmussen Reports provides new information more frequently than any other firm. On the dates of the Gallup survey, Rasmussen Reports showed Giuliani still leading Huckabee by three. Since the Gallup survey was completed, Huckabee has gained a net six points over Giuliani. Additionally, Rasmussen Reports screens for Likely Primary voters while Gallup surveyed Adults. Neither approach is necessarily right or wrong, but Primary Voters tend to be more conservative than Republicans generally.
As a result, a poll that screens for Likely Primary Voters is likely to show more support for Huckabee than a poll that measures the opinions of Republican and Republican leaning adults. While not falling as far as Giuliani, Hillary Clinton has lost ground recently in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. The former First Lady now attracts 34% of the vote nationwide. That's the lowest level of support recorded for Clinton since Rasmussen Reports began daily tracking in mid-July (see recent daily numbers). In weekly results, Clinton's support hasn't been this low since April. (see history of full week results from January 18 to present).
Barack Obama is now within ten points of Clinton with 24% support nationwide. Among Democrats, Clinton, Obama, and John Edwards are locked in a tight battle leading up to the Iowa caucuses. Clinton still leads in New Hampshire, but her lead is declining. The former First Lady of both Arkansas and the United States recently stepped up her attacks on Obama in Iowa (see video). John Edwards earns 16% of the vote while Bill Richardson attracts 7% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters nationwide. No other Democratic candidate tops 3% (see recent daily numbers). Results for the Presidential Tracking Poll are obtained through nightly telephone interviews and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Next update scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern.
It remains unclear whether the current round of Huck-a-mania is nothing more than Mike Huckabee's fifteen minutes of fame of if the former Arkansas Governor has a serious chance of winning the Republican nomination. But, there is no doubt that he has shaken up the race-- Huckabee is also a frontrunner in Iowa, essentially tied for second in New Hampshire, and has pulled to within a single percentage point of Hillary Clinton in a general election match-up. For the Democrats, polling in Iowa continues to show a toss-up between Clinton, Obama, and Edwards. Clinton still leads in New Hampshire but her lead has declined to single digits. Nationally, just 24% think that Iowa and New Hampshire voters are "lucky" to vote first.
Nearly twice as many believe the state's voters are unlucky because they have to put up with all the campaigning during the holiday season. Yesterday, Rasmussen Reports released new state polling data showing Colorado to be very competitive in the 2008 Presidential election. That state's Senate race between Bob Schaffer (R) and Mark Udall (D) is also a toss-up. In Arizona, the big story is John McCain's comeback. His favorable ratings fell below the 50% mark during the Senate debate on immigration but he is now back in much more comfortable territory. See Rasmussen Reports general election match-ups and other key stats for all Republican and Democratic candidates.
The Rasmussen Reports Election 2008 Presidential Tracking Poll is updated daily. Today is the first day of regular weekend updates. Daily tracking results are from survey interviews conducted over four days ending last night. Each update includes approximately 750 Likely Democratic Primary Voters and 600 Likely Republican Primary Voters. Margin of sampling error for each is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Rasmussen Reports provides a weekly analysis of both the Republican and Democratic race each Monday.
Each Monday, full week results are released based upon a seven-day rolling average. While the daily tracking result are useful for measuring quick reaction to events in the news, the full week results provide an effective means for evaluating longer-term trends. Rasmussen Reports is an electronic publishing firm specializing in the collection, publication, and distribution of public opinion polling information.
The Rasmussen Reports Election Edge,, Premium Service for Election 2008 offers the most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a Presidential election. Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports, has been an independent pollster for more than a decade. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dear Mr. President; Thank You.

My Tribute to Our 43rd President, and the Man, George W. Bush,

Every single person who makes fun of this President and condems him making him out to be this 'evil' man are SO WRONG it is SCARY. Every single human being who slanders and complains about President Bush, is not only lying to others, but they are robbing themselves of a wonderful awareness and comprehension of just what this President stands for, has done and is still doing for this Country, and even the World. They are cheating themselves of knowing this President for all that he truly is.They use Geroge W. Bush's faith against him. They call his belief in God an 'evil' defect of character. They label his personal spiritual/life experiences as destructive weapons that harm this Nation. And in doing this, they all loose. Each and every one of those misguided, delusional Critics miss out on experiencing the grace and moral integrity that this President has brought into 21st Century American Politics. They loose out on seeing the SOUL of and within this American President and therfore cheapen their own worth as an American.

Bush haters have caused more evil, intensified more defects in more characters, and invoked more destruction and harm on the American people and America, itself, then what ALL of the terrorists put together could have done to us. Those delusional streams of insults and condemnations have also had more influence on the Global community's growing negative perception of America than Chavez, Bin Laden, and every virgin-obsessed jihad psycho, put together could have created.. By their own devices, these bitter Liberals have partially suceeded in doing the exact opposite of what George Bush has been fighting to do everyday; they have DIVIDED; they are the ultimate DIVIDERS.

Their manipulation on the American/Global psyche has tainted and weakened America. George Bush didnt weaken nor did he taint America, the pollution in America called the Left-Wing Emissions are the culprits. Just as the 19th Century Democrats fought and resisted Lincoln's efforts to secure the Union; we see the 21st Century Democrats fighting and resisting Bush's efforts to unite. One of most graceful, honorable, consistent, loving, tolerant, has-an-ability-to-laugh-at-himself, humble, humanitarian-minded, sees-everybody-as-equal, bi-lingual, cooperative, spiritually-driven, Presidents America has ever seen is going highly unnoticed, unrecognized and under-appreciated because a few Left-wing extremists with lots of money and no lives decided that maybe it would be beneficial to the Democratic Party if they used this whole 9/11/ War on Terrorism to twist it to be Bush's evil doing instead of what it actually was; Bush's unchosen Legacy.

The Bourbon Democrats (the big money big wigs of the party) still exist. In the late 1800's the Bourbon Democrats funded the KKK and other anti-Lincoln, anti-Republican groups that could aid them in defaming the Lincoln/Republican position/arguement. Now we see the Bourbon Democrats in 2007, fund moveon.org, 9/11 conspiratorial groups, Code Pink, etc..to battle Bush/Republican position/arguement. Lincoln fought for an end to Slavery, and Bush is fighting for an end to Religious intolerance and extremism. This is emphasized by George W. Bush, himself, when he described Islamic extremists as, "...evil people who hijacked a great Religion." Right before we invaded Afghanistan in 2001, Bush noted for Afghans, "Religion can be practiced only as their leaders dictate...we are all God's children." After defeating the Taliban in Afghanistan, Bush said, "Today, as America wages war against terror, our resolve to defend Religious freedom remains as strong as ever." Both Lincoln and Bush share the mutual desire for freedom and tolerance. And they both share the mutual will and determination to kick ass to achieve those freedoms and clear the path for those tolerances to manifest.

Many forget that President Bush was HANDED this specific Presidential time period's course of events. In their duranged defamation, they have somehow convinced themselves that he CREATED these events. Bitterness and negativity have blinded so many people from seeing straight. The weight of their hatred and judgement has actually disabled their once innate ability to interpret physical reality efficiently.

It seems to me, that it might be well worth our time and energy to remember their is a real MAN who has been serving this Country as our President since 2000. He is a man and more importantly, he is a HUMAN BEING. And if you accept the fact that President George W. Bush is a Human Being, then you have to also accept that he has no special powers or magical God-Like or even Satan-like abilities. If you accept the humanness of this President, then you must accept that he can not create Hurricanes, he has no human capabilties to create an Islamic extremist group that desires the destruction of America, he did not invent long hydrocarbon chains, particularly alkanes, cycloalkanes and aromatics that makes up oil, he can not make water levels rise just enough so that they break levies, he didnt make half of America vote for him TWICE.

And the most important thing to remember is that this human is ONE human, who just so happens to be serving as Our President during this ONE particular slice in time period in American history, cant save us ALL from experiencing ALL of the social ills and realities. President Bush can't save all of us from; death, poverty, crime, drug addiction, taxes, jihad, pain, disease, old age, conflict, injustices, fear, sadness, bruises, debt, out-dated voting methods, discrimination, insecurities, divorce, lack of desire, lack of motivation, lack of goals, the lack of human potential and most of all this ONE HUMAN, who has been elected to serve this Nation as Commander-In-Chief can NOT be everything to everyone all the time. In his own words, "We have serious cracks in our culture that no amount of plaster will fix, unless we shore up our moral foundation. All the laws in the World can not make us love eachother."

Before he was ever President of the United States, he was George W. Bush, the MAN, the FELLOW AMERICAN. Before he was a faithful President, George Bush was a faithful HUSBAND. Before he was Commander-in-Chief of the greatest Nation in the World, he was the greatest DADDY in the World to Jenna and Barbara. Before George W. Bush was a Compassionate Conservative, he was a Compassionate FRIEND. Before George W. Bush was Governor of Texas, he was a 7- year-old little boy, and a big brother to his 3-year-old little sister, Robin. Before George W. Bush had ever stepped foot into the Oval Office, he was a 7-year-old little boy, and a big brother that had to attend his 3-year-old little sister's funeral, after she died from Leukemia. After Robin died, that 7-year-old boy looked at his Daddy and unselfishly said, "Dad, I wish I was Robin."

Every moment after those attacks on September 11. 2001, this Man, this Human, this American President, George W. Bush did the only thing a President could do. RESPOND and RISE to the Call of duty. Since he couldnt just make a new law that would end jihad and Islamic extremism; he was only left then with his Presidential powers, which could be flexed and applied by the rights of the Constitution. As President, his responsibilities and obligations were greater than you or I could ever imagine. This man who happened to be Our Leader during this horrific event, was the face of this wounded Nation, he was this Nations' voice to the World, he was suddenly left the greatest weight that a sitting President could ever endure, and he did the best to his ability, in good faith, with calm resolve along with a swift, collective conscience behind him.

No one likes to be that guy who has to lead, carry and be the main face that has to leap first into that unknown, ultimately attracting the Public to focus on only HIS face. And we all know very well that even in football, the Quarter Back can get the bad review and recieve the most public scrutiny, when everyone knows darn well, that the teams defects weren't just the results of a bad Quarter Back. Since the Quarter Back is the first one to get the ball thrown TO him, it is no wonder why the Quarter Back is percieved as the lead role. Once that ball first hits the QB hands, the QB must then look out into a field of players and discern where he is to throw that ball to next. Whoever the QB chooses to recieve his pass, can ultimately make or break it for the rest of the team. If the Defense doesnt give the Quarter Back suffiecient coverage, that Quarter Back has a much higher chance of falling before he even gets the chance to pass that ball along to the next team member, and then the desired goal gets stifled.

President Bush is like a Quarter Back. He had the ball thrown to him, he quickly scanned the playing field, he used discernment, he swiftly made adjustments,he aimed and then he threw the ball. I would have to say he ran the team down the field for two touchdowns, during his teams' first two possessions. He destroyed the Taliban in Afghanistan, then he took down Saddam. Just recently in the the 7th quarter of the game, North Korea finally agreed to disarm and disable their nuclear program; touchdown. Maybe its just me, but I think this guy has some great game.

I couldn't help myself. President Bush is the first American President, since Ronald Reagan that inspires me. This President deserves our respect, and our prayers..and if your an Atheist, replace prayers with 'good thoughts'. He is leading our Nation, whether you like it or not. He has had more unpredictable catastrophic events take place during the last 7 years of his Presidency, its a wonder how much grace, humility and calm resolve he has managed to retain through all of it. He still laughs at himself, he still has the ability to keep his head up, and stay determined. And really, President Bush DOES have ONE secret Magical power, George W. Bush's only magical power is his FAITH.

Thank you George W. Bush for serving my Country as President. I love you for the great man you are, and I love what you have brought to this Presidency. You have had to do things I cant imagine having to even contimplate, let alone do. You have had to face such adversity, that I dont think even Superman could have stayed sane, let alone still intact with Faith after all this. You are in my prayers, and I just wanted to let you know I appreciate how much you have had to carry and confront for all of us.

GOD BLESS YOU, GEORGE W. BUSH, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!Yours Truly,The Political Sage

A Political Sage Investigative Report:

Russia and the United States: Building Tensions

RUSSIA SUES THE BANK OF NEW YORK!

To be honest, I really dont know what to think about this story. Russian Federal Customs apparently deems it signifigant to reopen a 10 year old U.S/Russian money laundering case.

Back in 1998, The Bank of New York got caught in a money laundering scandel. Federal agents were tipped off in August 1998 that unusually large amounts of money were zooming through the bank from Russian sources.

CNN reported in August 1999 right after the Bank of New York scandal story broke, "...allegations arose that a Russian crime syndicate had laundered some $10 billion - possibly funds diverted from International Monetary Fund payments - through accounts at the Bank of New York (BK) and Republic National Bank (RNB).
(This Entire article can be viewed at: http://money.cnn.com/1999/08/26/companies/russia_probe/)

Its also good to throw in that back in 2005/2006, former Bank of New York's vice president and her husband were sentenced to six months home confinement after admitting to involvement in a $7 billion Russian money-laundering conspiracy. Six months HOME CONFINEMENT for Russian money laundering involvement?? That seems odd. However that is just ONE of the ODD details to this 10 year old story.

The latest chapter to this odd financial corruption story should have Americans raising a lot of red flags. It is not only unusual timing by Russia, but the lawsuit, itself, against this American Bank, years after the case had been settled, should also be seen as a suspicious move. “In Russia today, no serious deal can be made without approval from the Kremlin,” said Irina Yasina, a researcher at the Institute for the Economy in Transition, a research group led by a former prime minister, Yegor Gaidar.

No major deals without approval from the Kremlin? And who is the Kremlin king? Well, none other than our ex-KGB boy, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Which has me very curious of what his role has been in this lawsuit against Americas' oldest financial institution.

This lawsuit along with all the other eerie stories coming out of Russia lately, should all be seriously acknowledged. I dont claim to know exactly what all this wacky Russian activity is leading to or even hinting at. But I do claim to know that Russia's recent acts, decisions and secret mergence with China aren't the types of news stories that usually come from Democratic Countries and U.S allies.

Let us keep in mind, that we had one U.N. bioterrorism expert announce in 2005 that Russia has been Iraq's "main supplier of the materials and know-how to weaponize anthrax, botulism and smallpox."

Also, It is a FACT that Saddam Hussein rose to power backed by Russian weapons and Russian money. Saddam was in debt to Moscow for over $8 billion for the arms he purchased from Russia when he was captured by U.S. forces.

The historical fact of the matter is that Iraq was a Soviet client state and Russia held a multi-billion-dollar debt and economic interests in Iraq, including contracts to develop the giant West Qurna oil field and other economic projects.

All these little Russian details that seem to be completely OVER-LOOKED by the American media, need to be brought under the microscope and demands more American alertness. We need to stop being naive and only reading American/Local Newspapers, watching only CNN, CBS or MSNBC and just automatically assuming what the American media reports is the ONLY news worthy stories that exist.

This is one of the great technological assests and gifts that the WORLD WIDE Web has offered us; a ticket to anywhere at anytime with just one click of the 'mouse'. Use the Internet to read BBC(The UK News Service) , or go to www.themoscowtimes.com, and read the newspaper in Russia. All the pieces are here for us, however the "CONVIENCE" of these news stories may not be that easily accessed, in lieu of the great American tradgedy; LAZYISM.

I prefer to know more, and I also choose to look deeper into the vague, surface level news flashes that we are so bombarded with. So, as my loyal and dedicated service to myself first, by default, this service extends to all of you; because once I learn something I cant keep it to myself. I have always been this way.

So here is another imperative piece to this eerie Russian puzzle.

YOURS TRULY,
THE POLITICAL SAGE

Russia sues Bank of New York

Thursday May 17th, 2007 / 22h03
MOSCOW/NEW YORK (Reuters) -

Russia's federal customs service said on Thursday it had sued Bank of New York Co. and was seeking $22.5 billion in damages related to alleged money laundering in the late 1990s.

From 1996 to 1999, bank employees helped to create a "system through which conditions were made for companies and Russian banks to not make the proper payments, thus inflicting a loss against the Russian Federation," Maxim Smal, a lawyer who said he works on behalf of the Russian agency, said in a telephone interview.

Andrey Strukov, head of the customs service's legal department, said in an e-mail that the Federal Customs Service was filing the lawsuit against the bank for damages against the Russian Federation.
Bank of New York shares fell as much as 4.9 percent early on Thursday before closing down 1.1 percent.

Shares of Mellon Financial Corp. , which the bank agreed to buy in December for $16.5 billion, fell as much as 2.2 percent but closed 0.7 percent higher.

The lawsuit follows Bank of New York's agreement in November 2005 to pay $38 million to settle two U.S. criminal investigations, including a probe into an alleged money-laundering conspiracy that investigators said moved billions of dollars through the bank's accounts.

Prosecutors said the bank "admitted its criminal conduct," and agreed to pay $26 million to the government and $12 million to other banks that lost money.

Bank of New York said in a statement on Thursday that it had not seen the Russian agency's complaint, but that any such lawsuit would be "totally without merit, if not frivolous."

It also said lawyers purporting to represent the agency had offered to settle for "a tiny fraction of the amount now claimed. Events related to the lawsuit occurred more than ten years ago and were previously resolved by the company."

ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
Some analysts downplayed the lawsuit's significance.
"Although we can't completely ignore the potential ... for some type of financial responsibility to Bank of New York, on the surface, we believe the stock move is overdone on the downside," Banc of America Securities analyst Kenneth Usdin wrote in a research report. He rates Bank of New York "buy."

The U.S. money laundering probe began in 1998 and concerned accounts once controlled by Lucy Edwards, a former vice president in the bank's Eastern European division, and her husband Peter Berlin, as well as others.
In 2000, Edwards and Berlin pleaded guilty to being part of a conspiracy to move $7 billion through Bank of New York accounts, and to helping two Russian banks conduct illegal activities in the United States.
A federal judge sentenced the couple last July to six months home confinement and ordered them to pay $725,000 in restitution and fines.
The merger of Bank of New York and Pittsburgh-based Mellon is scheduled to close around July 1, creating the world's largest custody bank and one of its largest asset managers.

Founded in 1784 by Alexander Hamilton, the first U.S. Treasury Secretary, Bank of New York sold its bank branches in October.
Bank of New York shares closed down 46 cents at $40.75, after falling earlier to $39.19. Mellon shares closed up 3 cents at $43.75, after earlier falling to $42.76.

A Political Sage Investigative Report: The Minneapolis Bridge

Blame the Bridge on Al Gore
Exploring the Structural Deficiencies in Liberal Policy

Well hell has apparently froze over because I am actually impressed with Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) in their abnormal response they had to this Minneapolis Bridge disaster. To much my surprise, these two Democrats have been able to show a certain level of restraint in regards to their responses to the Minneapolis Bridge Disaster. Somehow they both managed to trim down their usual knee jerk reaction, which usually consists of throwing a temper tantrum while screaming, “Bush did it!” Of course in an effort to conceal their terrible two’s; they usually disguise these tantrums and sell them in nicely wrapped media-friendly boxes and call them “Press Conferences.”

This post-catastrophe, leftist-reactionary-response-ritual depends on a hodgepodge of delusional fancies for it to function properly. The first ceremony involves allocating blame on President Bush and the Republicans publicly, for causing the disaster. The second ceremony requires putting on superhero costumes to make it appear like they tried to prevent the tragedy. The third ceremony involves making the public think that their superhero efforts to prevent the tragedy only failed because those two-timing Republican villains held them as hostages, ultimately obstructing their super powers, while those evil Republicans activated the secret American catastrophe trigger which enables them to wreak havoc on the American people. And the forth and final ceremony of this Leftist ritual demands all history to be immediately rewritten. (Note: Rewriting history is required in order for ceremonies 1-3 to be effective.)

The most demoralizing part of the Left-wing terrible two’s syndrome and their public temper tantrums is that it must be executed while the general public is still vulnerable; immediately after the catastrophe. Obviously, they chose this specific timeframe, post-catastrophe, because the American public would be much more likely to still be operating on emotion rather than logic. In fact, existence of human vulnerability is the only way their maniacal plot can actually work.

Thriving off of human vulnerability and using the American people’s emotional weaknesses against them is a down right dirty technique. But really, are you even shocked? The Democratic line of attack, in the hopes to win votes and gain control has always been desperately dirty. Let’s keep in mind, we are talking about the same party that created and funded the Ku Klux Klan back in 1855 in an effort to terrorize blacks and destroy those whom they called those defiant ‘black-loving’ Republicans. So really, these dirty game tactics are ingrained in their Democratic, ideological DNA.

This is why I found it so extra-unordinary for two mad caps like Amy and Harry to modify their normal dirty routine and only exhibit a hint of blaming this on President Bush, the Republicans and MN Governor, Tim Pawlenty. Hey, it is only fair that I give credit where credit is due; even if the credit I am giving away, is going to a group of whiny, fiscally irresponsible Democrats. So I felt it would be important to take the time right now and write a Political Sage letter of Gratitude to these fine, upstanding Congressmen.

Dear Senator Amy Klobuchar and Senator Harry Reid:

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for not directly accusing The President, The Governor and the Republicans for this terrible bridge disaster that took place in Minneapolis, MN. I realize that this act of restraint was probably one of the hardest things you both have ever had to do. So, Major props from yours truly, guys!

I am honestly moved that you both chose to stick your feet in your mouth instead of reacting like you have been for the past 7 years after an American Catastrophe. I know that the temptation for you and your other colleagues to blame President Bush for the bridges’ sudden failure was probably overwhelming, since we all know that The President doesn’t like Minnesotans that drive over bridges during rush hour. But you held it in. I am so proud!
And Harry, you shouldn’t be discouraged with yourself for making erroneous statements like, "Since 9/11 we have taken our eye off the ball." Sure, we all knew what you were suggesting, but the important thing is that you didn’t completely give in to your normal impulses! Hooray!

Give yourself some slack, Amy and Harry; you are battling one of America’s most deadly mind disorders; Liberalism. This is one of the only diseases that tricks you into thinking you don’t have a disease. And the fact that Liberalism attacks an individuals’ sense to reason, and decreases one’s ability to partake in the normal intellectual activities, like common sense for example, it can make for a slow and difficult recovery. And Harry, realize you are probably suffering from a lack of sleep, since you have been reclaiming the child within by participating in a few slumber parties; you little party animal you!

Be proud of the fact that even two ill-minded people like you two were even able to take these baby steps!!

I am just dying to know how you two were able to control yourselves. Was it medication? Was it a spiritual awakening? Or was it just the simple fact that divers were still risking their lives to recover the people that were still missing which are more than likely not still with us, as their families stood by waiting to hear something so they can have some sense of closure?

Give yourselves a pat on the back! I always knew you had it in you!!
Yours Truly,
The Political Sage

While I may have been a little pleasantly surprised by the Congressional Democrats’ use of restraint with regards to this bridge disaster; I have been just as unpleasantly disgusted by a few Left-wing contemptuous media creatures and their lack of restraint. Just so you know, the Left-wing media can also participate and perform these immoral post-disaster rituals. This is evident when you look at one of Minnesota’s very own homegrown media creatures; Nick Coleman, who writes for the ‘Sketchy Lefty’ Star Tribune Minneapolis paper.

Coleman’s distasteful responses to this Bridge disaster thus far, have exceeded and surpassed all my previous expectations of the Insane Left-Wing media’s inability to report the news. Here are just a few illustrations of Coleman’s degenerative responses to the bridge which appeared in the Minneapolis paper on Aug 3rd:

“For half a dozen years, the motto of state government and particularly that of Gov. Tim Pawlenty has been ‘No New Taxes.’ It's been popular with a lot of voters and it has mostly prevailed. So much so that Pawlenty vetoed a 5-cent gas tax increase - the first in 20 years - last spring and millions were lost that might have gone to road repair.”

“A trillion spent in Iraq, while schools crumble, there aren't enough cops on the street and bridges decay while our leaders cross their fingers and ignore the rising chances of disaster."

Oh yeah, Nick? Is that why the bridge collapsed? Because a trillion dollars are going to our troops overseas, which helps to keep people like you, yes even YOU, from spontaneously combusting because some virgin-obsessed suicide bomber felt it was his Religious obligation to blow you up? Fine. YOU can go ahead and play make believe in your own, discredited little fairytale that you have the nerve to call journalism…while the rest of us sit here in reality and morn the actual HUMANE –side of this disaster.

However, Nick, when the time comes and Minnesotans and the rest of the American people for that matter, are emotionally ready to have a media/ public discussion or debate about the possible fiscal, political and partisan errors and mishaps that took place or didn’t take place regarding this bridges’ sudden collapse; you better believe I will be ready and able to report just as many, if not more probabilities of what actually happened pre-bridge collapse.

On the other hand Nick, as a special service, I will throw you a few of my factual-based, documented probabilities right here, right now. I have taken into consideration that your Liberal mind disease has obviously progressed much more rapidly then Amy and Harry’s has. And the mental and intellectual deterioration has you absolutely incapable of tact and a respectful sense of timing, even during a catastrophe like this. It really makes one wonder if you should be even allowed to be here in MN right now. Have some common sense respect, dude! And if you don’t ‘get’ that common sense thing, then maybe you should read more of my work just to balance out your insane approach to reporting the news.

In my search for the truth this time, I decided that I would focus on finding articles that appeared right after the Governor vetoed that gas tax increase, proposed of course, by the MN democratic congress. I just wanted to see if the reactions, discussions and commentary in those particular articles would include any mentions of the 35W Bridge. I found these articles and I also found an array of disappointment to this veto from Liberal interest groups and the Department of Transportation in these articles. However, It didn’t take me long to notice just what these peoples’ disappointments were. Ironically, the reasons for their whimpers had nothing to do with bridges. I was dumbfounded by the mere fact that there was not one reference to the 35W Bridge in any of the articles that I found.

Instead, what I discovered in these articles were whines and displays of some good old fashioned Liberal Environmental loonyism. The majority of these Liberal interest groups were made up of Environmentalists. The gripes in these articles were mainly made by some greenie gurus that were devastated that they lost the chance to use gas tax money on decreasing more carbon emissions! Mr. Coleman forgot to mention that one in his delusional report.

The other gripe these greenie goofballs had was that they lost the chance to make their Lego light rail train models come to life. Because we all know that if MN would have been able to offer the alternative of light rail, not only would we have seen yet even a higher decrease in carbon emissions, but maybe it would have even prevented commuters from even being on that bridge the moment it collapsed, because they would have all been taking the light rail. Yeah right.

What I concluded in my findings was that reducing carbon emissions and saving the damn planet were the bases of these leftist interest loons’ disappointment; plain and simple. And the sheer fact that the Loony Lefties in Minnesota cried about the Governor’s veto just because it meant less funding for transportation projects that could have reduced carbon emissions, just goes to show you how much the environmental wack jobs have succeeded in tainting public policy.

If the 35W bridge was rated as “structurally deficient” in 2005, which it was, and the top priorities of the MN Department of Transportation were still to decrease carbon emissions and hire Mr. Rogers to build some idealistic trolley system throughout the Twin Cities’, it just goes to show how unintelligent and irrational the Liberal agendas really are. Like I mentioned earlier, I failed to find any whines about not being able to rebuild that “structurally deficient” 35W bridge. I wonder why? Well maybe this statement made by the MN Department of Transportation themselves, earlier this year, will help to answer that question:
State bridges are still performing slightly below targets, though conditions have improved. Today, due to increased investments, Minnesota has fewer state highway bridges in “poor” condition than at any time in the last 10 years.

Congratulations on that big achievement! MN only has a few bridges that may collapse without warning?! Hooray! That just had to be music to every environmental wack jobs’ ears! Since fewer bridges may collapse in MN compared to any other state in this country, where many more bridges might collapse, environmental interests can rule MN transportation projects. Greenie advocates, get ready! This is officially your time to shine!!! The Environmentalist interest groups are officially free to run the MN Department of Transportation, as you will see in the next excerpt:

Three Mn/DOT initiatives received 2006 environmental awards from the Federal Highway Administration.

“Mn/DOT projects and initiatives have won more environmental excellence awards from the FHWA than any other state in the nation,” said Frank Pafko, Office of Environmental Services director.

And here’s a classic for all you greedy, delusional environmental wack jobs to swallow:

Large Norway pines and ground-hugging shrub roses now create an attractive gateway to Sandstone from Interstate 35.

While the crew at Sandstone worked in the north woods, another group of community members, firefighters and Mn/DOT staff worked to add visual interest to West Broadway Avenue in Minneapolis near the ramp that connects Hwy 55 to I-94.

Just for the record, Sandstone, MN is 89.1 miles north of Minneapolis. That means that Mn/DOT was only 89.1 miles away from where they should have been creating an attractive and STABLE stretch of roadway, called a bridge. Although, when the crew was adding “visual interest” near the ramp by West Broadway Ave. in Minneapolis they were only within a few miles of the 35W Bridge. Maybe they were on their way to the 35W Bridge so they could plant some rose bushes along both sides of the bridge. Hey; the bridge may still be rated as “structurally deficient” in the eyes of all those Bridge Inventory Specialists, but at least it wont be environmentally deficient!

However, I have to say, I find this whole adding “visual interest” near Broadway Ave. escapade rather peculiar, since just yards away from all their tree planting around Broadway Ave, the actual street itself has a few of their very own visual interests going down. For instance, picture hazy cream colored clouds of crack smoke, mixed with a stream of highly contaminated led-filled water, along with a dash of the highest rate of people diagnosed with Aids per capita in the Nation, throw in a little bit of “auditory interest”, while listening to the sweet sounds of guns shooting in the near distance. It is enough for me to wonder if the MN department of Transportation is now qualified to take on Environmental projects, right next to the streets, then maybe they can also take on projects in the inner city and help clean up the PEOPLE on the street? Hey, I think it’s a fair question.

Next, I would like to direct your attention to this next article that appeared, only three months ago. Take a gander at the MN Department of Transportation’s focal points. These excerpts are taken from the article published in May of 2007 and written by Dan Olson of Minnesota Public Radio:

Disappointment with the result has put the state transportation interests in a testy mood, starting with MnDOT's Bob McFarlin….

…McFarlin says the base budget keeps funding for some projects going for the next two years, including the big one -- the rebuilding of the Crosstown Commons in south Minneapolis, the intersection of state Highway 62 with Interstate 35W.

For those who don’t know anything about MN road names; the intersection of Hwy 62 with 35W is no where near where the bridge was located. It is also probably important to note that that intersection is not a bridge. Yet, I absolutely love Mcfarlin’s emphasis on this particular project, “...the big one...” Ok. So then, it is safe to assume that Bob McFarlin of Mn/DOT would have used those extra funds to do MORE road construction on a stretch of road that is just FINE! How do I know that this Crosstown Commons was just fine? I know because I traveled that particular stretch of roadway everyday for the last year. I have to admit the rush hour pile ups put me in a little bit of a “testy mood” as well; it is annoying and inconvenient. But this annoying stretch of roadway is definitely not ready to crumble, and definitely not a bridge that was officially labeled, “structurally deficient”.

Another excerpt from this MPR article addresses the ‘gas tax increase’ failure to pass in a Democratic majority run MN legislature:

Two-thirds of the lawmakers voted for the bill, which included a five-cent-a-gallon tax increase. That bill was vetoed last week by Gov. Tim Pawlenty. But as the legislative clock wound down, not enough of them voted to override the veto.

The article goes on to explain which transportation projects would be on the top of the priority list and would be the first to receive the extra money had a ‘gas tax’ increase passed:

Supporters of the planned Central Corridor light rail line between Minneapolis and St. Paul wanted $40 million in bonding, but lost out.

Metropolitan Council Chairman Peter Bell, head of the agency which owns and operates much of the Twin Cities’ public bus and rail system, calls the transportation budget a "lights flickering on" measure.

This next excerpt shows yet another tax increase proposal, and the MN official’s plan on who would be the first to see those funds:

"Some of the money we will receive for the motor vehicle sales tax constitutional amendment will likely be needed for transit operations," Bell said.

In this final excerpt, we see more disappointment in this failure to raise taxes from the MN Environmental greenie gurus:

The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy's Jim Erkel says failure to agree on a transportation bill is a disappointment.

First off, let it be known for those of you who are not Minnesotans that this state, as of February 2007, reported having a $2 billion dollar budget SURPLUS! So tax increases in any form seemed a tad unnecessary to most of us.

Also, this same Environmental group put out a 62 page proposal in October of 2006, outlining the environmental urgency in transportation budget increases. And the truth be told, not only did they progressively advocate for tax increases so their loony light rail endeavors could manifest, but also fought for these ridiculous tax hikes on the poor and the working middle class so they could decrease the poison that spewed from all those evil cars during rush hour.

Well I hope all you greenie fruit loops are satisfied with your selves. Now look at the environmental mess we’ve got ourselves into! Just think about all those carbon emissions from the rush hour congestion that also collapsed into the Mississippi River when the Bridge fell! The MN Center for Environmental Incompetency (oops I mean advocacy) group have just got to be kicking their own, you know whats right now. If they would have just teamed up with the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Bridge Inventory which rated the 35W bridge as "structurally deficient," then maybe, just maybe, they would have spent more time and energy moving the endangered mussels and all the other indigenous benthic macroinvertebrate like bottom dwelling insect larvae, worms, snails and clams out of that section of Mississippi river flowing in the surrounding area of the 35W bridge.

I have concluded, based on this extensive research that The MN Department of Transportation cares less about the actual roads, highways and bridges and cares much more about all the areas surrounding roads, highways and bridges. I don’t even want to think about where the gas and motor vehicle taxes could have gone to, had it passed. The extra cash would have probably gone to funding that would help plant another damn tree along side 35W. I tell you one thing for certain; the environmental clean up crew in charge of surveying the aftermath of that 35W Bridge in the Mississippi River is probably a little perturbed at Jim Erkel and the gang right about now.

Just for the record, you can add me to list of those who claim to be disappointed. But please put mine in a separate column, differentiating what and whom I am disappointed in/with. Ah hell, scratch the disappointment claim and just post:

“The Political Sage blames Al Gore and his greenie guru cults for the 35W bridge collapse.”

And one more thing; hey, Mr. Nick the Prick Coleman! Are you still blaming the bridge disaster on the War in Iraq? Well if your idea of the ‘War in Iraq’ means planting rose bushes along the sides of Minnesota highways, and/or building light rails, then I would have to say, I fully agree with you.

There Really is No Sharp in Sharpton

The DJ Formally Known As:
Reverend Al Sharpton

Today, New York Senator, Antoine Thompson, along with The Rev. Al Sharpton held a press conference to announce their new stance against bad words being used by Black Rappers. Sharpton stated, "The idea of divesting New York State taxpayers' money from record companies that have a double standard when it comes to language is something that will be a priority," said Sharpton.

Ok…stop. Before I even hit The Political Sage rage, let me just address Al directly…

Al; first of all, that whole statement makes me think reverting back into primitive ‘grunting’ would possibly help humans like yourself speak a little more perceptibly, so the rest of us can understand just what the hell you mean, man! You make NO sense. And the fact that YOU of all people claim to have a vested interest in where tax payer money goes is utterly outrageous and just down right offensive.

Anyways… Sorry, I really needed to get that off my chest.

Sharpton and Thompson’s news conference held today in Buffalo, NY, comes just a few months after Rev. Sharpton “called” for the firing of Radio Host, Don Imus for his offensive comments that he made on-air. If you happened to turn on the television around that time, then you probably were able to witness the network debates and heated discussions that arose from that situation. I think a lot of you would probably have to agree; it was Liberalistic Idiocy at it’s finest. But, I must admit, the “list” of Deomcratic Racist qoutes, including statements from Sharpton, himself that Sean Hannity broke out, in light of the Sharpton charade; was really touching, to say the least.

Sharpton has issued a proclamation emanicpation, I guess, to all Black Rappers, and that is what it is. We all know very well he isn’t talking to band members from the group, Korn or to the any of the pasty musicians from head bangers ball. The New York Daily News specifically described Sharpton’s sermon to the music industry to be a “…four-day conclave to deliver a thundering jeremiad against offensive rap.” Sharpton has even seemed to hypnotize one of Hip-Hop’s legends, Russell Simmons along with his “Hop Summit Action Network. Simmons is now even making gut wrenching suggestions advocating for and setting up industry watchdogs which will recommend guidelines for lyrical and visual standards. What the hell, Russ? Visual standards, you say. How about setting up a watchdog group that makes sure 12 and 13 year-olds don’t keep showing their booties while they sport your wife’s “Baby Phat” clothing? I think it all sounds like another lofty way for a liberal program to get funding. I wonder if the tax dollars that will be removed from the Entertainment industry will just be allocated to the new Russell Simmons, Entertainment Industry’s “watchdog” group? Come on, Russell…these idiots got to you too??
It isn’t so bad that Al and the Gang are making suggestions to eliminate bad words, from songs, I guess. But, I just really have a hard time with what Sharptons’ next step might be. How about ending the actions that really occur in “real-life” from which the rap lyrics come from? Then Super Al could set up stations in all the communities he takes interest in, and monitor the street action? Maybe Sharpton should be spending his soapbox moments exposing all on the filth that is taking place in the DEMOCRATIC RUN inner cities around the country. Well, wouldn’t that be more conducive to the mission and purpose behind expelling of words in songs?
Also reported in the New York Daily was this little comment:
"Some of these people see Sharpton as an opportunist," says one source involved in the planning. "He's crying about rap lyrics. At the same time, he's calling all the major music labels to get them to donate $50,000 apiece for a table at his convention tribute to [Island Def Jam chief] L.A. Reid."

Money, money, money. Of all the crap I read about this Rap Crusade I found one sentence that carried a hint of refreshing, self-accountable truth, “We need talk about mentorship - not censorship,” one rebel stated in opposition to Sharptons’ insane idea of healing the community. Well said, I thought.
In the Associated Press they reported what I thought might be a slightly more productive role Sharpton could play in healing the community. Sharpton, being primarily positioned in Buffalo, New York, told reporters he would “consider town hall forums and other venues to steer young blacks toward positive goals,” Yeah, I thought. Then I kept reading, “…especially now that the city has elected its first black mayor and has a black schools superintendent and police commissioner.” Wh^%$ the F#$K are you F#@!ING Serious, AL??? Of course YOU are. But then I had a Political Sage moment of clarity, and said out loud to myself; well that would make total sense….since it has been The DEMOCRATIC PARTY THAT HAS DOMINATED BUFFALO POLITICS FOR THE LAST HALF-CENTURY!

Do you think these Liberals are EVER gonna put 2 + 2 together???

"Mr Reid Goes to Washington"

A Production by:

The Democratic Military Strategy Theatre Group:

Starring: Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Dick Durbin & Co.

Once again, I am moved to pursue the facts. I always find comfort in historical records. Some days are harder than the others, I guess. Being the news junkie that I am, I am fully aware that the “harder” moments are completely my fault. My daily ambiance consists of my computer, C-SPAN on in the living room, FOX news back in my bedroom, all while the voices of Sean or Rush gleam out of my radio. (Al Gore would despise me!) However, even for an obsessive compulsive truth seeker like me, annoyance and bubbling agitation can sometimes set in. And the straw that always seems to break the camels’ back (Is it still ok to use that phrase?) is when I happen to catch those little “top-of-the-hour” news clips with recorded audio from Harry Reid or read quotes from Nancy Pelosi, and then catch a glance of some “Democratic Strategist” churning out their Liberal take on the latest “issue.” And then, I have a moment of temporary insanity and scream at all of my appliances! But eventually, I calm down and recognize that God put The Political Sage on this Earth to seek, find and report Truth, and then I resort back into my comfy, little safe haven which is found in History and Facty-tale land.

This article is inspired by the wonderful quote I heard from Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) yesterday, “This week we’ll make Republicans answer for their refusal to allow an up or down vote on the most important issue facing our country today,” Mr. Reid said. “We’re going to work today. We’re going to work tomorrow and work tomorrow night. We’re going to continue working on this until we get a vote on this amendment.” Of course, if you haven’t heard yet, the Democratic dingbats in the Senate are held an “all-nighter,” in the efforts to get those darn Republicans to explain themselves to the American people. Mr. Reid and his little intelligence committee in his head claims, “…they are protecting the President rather than protecting our troops.” No, Mr. Reid, I think that is called “supporting,” our President rather than “protecting,” him! And I like his play on words, “the President,” and, “our troops.” Sorry Mr. Reid. If I were you, I would have constructed that statement this way, “they are supporting our President and protecting our troops.” In other words, Harry, that’s what some of us like to call, being an American!

So here I am again, on another rampage. The Political Sage will not rest until the Loony Left is silenced. And, this time I was moved to investigate U.S Troops and their history of staying positioned in areas of “need” after a conflict. So, what exactly is our definition of “need,” anyways? Well, Six decades later we are still in Germany, Japan, Italy and many other countries as a result of World War II. That obviously means that someone should be “protecting” President Roosevelt, because 60 years is a long time to keep U.S troops in a region, wouldn’t you say?? The “need” of keeping U.S troops’ present in post-WII Regions is not seen as a conspiracy is it?? I think if you ask any Historian or Military official why they believe there is a “need” for U.S Troops in those regions, they just might give you a simple answer; Democracy.

But of course, we are dealing with a Democratic Majority in Congress today, and we all know that to them a, “78-day war,” consisting of dropping cluster bombs into marketplaces, hospitals, and other civilian areas, that kills 2,000 civilians is a much better Defense strategy. Did we already forget about President Clintons’ surge in Kosovo?? 2, 000 civilian causalities in 78 days seems pretty disgraceful compared to the numbers of casualties that have occurred over the last 6 years!! Liberalism rationality says that killing is ok, as long as it is done “quickly and “easily.” Just take a look at their positions on Abortions, Government “hand-outs” and Military strategies. The Democrats in this country, along with their faithful Left-Wing “Activists” are proven to be much more deadly and threatening than any other “whoever” or “whatever” they choose to accuse.

So Senator Reid’s “all-nighter” proved to be a great big slumber party, with the Republicans sleeping and talking amongst themselves, while Senators, Dick Durbin, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden all take turns playing “Jefferson Smith,” from the 1939 movie, "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” Maybe Hillary will even whip out a great voice impression of Jimmy Stewart, since we all know just how skilled she is in doing impressions! But in this case, I don’t think Hillary, Dick and Harry will be reading from the Constitution like Mr. Smith did. In this screenplay they will most likely be reading from the 1992 Noam Chomsky and David Barsamian book titled, “Chronicles of Dissent.” That is sure to keep the republicans amused!

Let me close by offering a handshake to Senator Harry Reid and Senator Hillary Clinton for pretending to care about Human life. I hate war too, and I also hate having to fight people who insist on seeing people like you and I blow up into little tiny pieces. Your effort to show human kindness and attain a Political facelift is cute compared to your heartless whines to defend the slaughtering of babies and the killing of human dignity every time you cry for more money to give people who maybe could get it themselves if you allowed them to. So with that said, I will leave with a complimentary reminder of 1990’s history:

Number of military deaths during the Clinton administration:

1,245 in 1993;
1,109 in 1994;
1,055 in 1995;
+ 1,008 in 1996.
= 4,417 “Peacetime” Deaths

(Will someone get a calculator and a calendar to the Senate floor, pronto?!)

Remember... or ELSE!
Putting All This Terrorism Business Back Into a Historically Accurate Perspective

{“Well this looks like a job for me…now everybody just follow me; cause everyone needs a little controversy, cuz it feels so empty without me” -Marshall Mathers}

Well, this looks like a job for The Political Sage! I guess it is in my destiny to be the one who reminds the public about a few historical facts. Apparently, some very important details in history have slipped the minds of too many Americans. It is so typical of the American media to exclude relevant, past events from present dramas. Well, personally folks, I am sick and tired of defending a President who is merely pressing on in the campaign against terror. The problem of Terrorism is so old news, people. The only difference with the current situation is our current American President, you see. It looks like the battle against terrorism was only meant to be battled by those who have political backbones.

The only unfortunate revelation about our current President is that he just happened to be President on September 11, 2001. What happened to that American unity and forthrightness that existed at around He was bound to be “damned if you do, damned if you don’t.” President Bush has taken this old battle against terrorism by renewing rigorously and aggressively fighting terrorism.
Already, the common American calamity of amnesia has set in. And the Party that was not in power on 9/11/01 has somehow twisted those tragic events into partisan diversions that attempt to boost their own political image. I’m telling you that is much more disgraceful and corrupt than any of the crazy accusations that have been aimed at this President and his Administration.

Oh, and I haven’t forgotten about all of you conspiracy advocates! This article is also dedicated to you. You may want to include these forgotten, yet documented, historical episodes into your conspiracy theories. Hey maybe Michael Moore should put out a 2nd edition of his 911 documentary, which includes some other examples of terror-related squabbles and verbal battle words from previous Presidents. And I wish that the conspiracy theorists would at least think about considering the relevance in the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing, the Bojinka Plot, the 1998 US Embassy Bombings, the Millennium Bomb Plots, the 2000 USS Cole Bombing and all the countless Foreign Intelligence Warnings that occurred. If you argue that the 911, 2001 tragedy was made up; then why not enhance your argument with all the other pre-911 tragedies?? At least, then it might result in a slightly more balanced display of conspiratorial propaganda. You can use my references and ideas Michael! All’s I ask in return of you Mr. Moore is that I at least get a shot out in your revised movie! That’s T-r-a-c-y P-h-e-r-n-e-t-t-o-n, T-h-e P-o-l-i-t-i-c-a-l S-a-g-e.

No matter how Americans view the present media arrangement of this current battle against terror; the truth remains; President Bush, Vice President Cheney, John Ashcroft, and all the other officials that are made to look like evil antagonists are just plain inaccurate illustrations of reality. Besides, it exposes to any intelligent person just how much American and World history has been forgotten by the main stream media and the Left. We are all aware that George W. Bush majored in History, right? Just checking.
The Liberals and the mainstream media (oops that was rather oxymoronic of me, I meant; the Liberal Mainstream Media) have been making President Bush and his Administration the scapegoats for the sake of fabricating the Liberalistic partisan fairytale. Liberals love to erase historical facts and replace them with present distractions, consisting of blame, aggressive smearing tactics and personal pot shots.

No more, I say. I DEMAND that America take a breath, relax and review what is truly in front of them. And this goes for all of you spineless congressmen that still call yourselves “Republicans,” but are obviously lacking Conservative backbones. This ones’ for you, too ex-compadres. Each and everyone you need to take a moment of silence breathe and stop falling prey to the present charade of Liberal/media deceptions.

The rest of this article is dedicated to the facts; nothing more. I have inserted one particular documented report from the not so distant past. I have chosen to include the document, in its’ entirety simply because I do realize the lazy tendencies of those who just rely on, as Rush would call, “the drive-by media,” to formulate your opinions. You are not getting off that easy, this time! No measly links as references that can give you an option whether or not to click on it, to further your knowledge…Uh-uh. This is The Political Sage, and in my world; accuracy comes in full written expulsion. Then it’s much harder for you to argue. However, a Liberal will always have an argument, even after the truth is laid out for them. Their argument, however will just be downgraded to smearing tactics and be a barrage of personal, immature attacks. That’s ok, that is expected.

Enjoy!

Transcript: President Clinton explains Iraq strike

CLINTON: Good evening.
Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.
Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world.
Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.

I want to explain why I have decided, with the unanimous recommendation of my national security team, to use force in Iraq; why we have acted now; and what we aim to accomplish.

Six weeks ago, Saddam Hussein announced that he would no longer cooperate with the United Nations weapons inspectors called UNSCOM. They are highly professional experts from dozens of countries. Their job is to oversee the elimination of Iraq's capability to retain, create and use weapons of mass destruction, and to verify that Iraq does not attempt to rebuild that capability.

The inspectors undertook this mission first 7.5 years ago at the end of the Gulf War when Iraq agreed to declare and destroy its arsenal as a condition of the ceasefire.
The international community had good reason to set this requirement. Other countries possess weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles. With Saddam, there is one big difference: He has used them. Not once, but repeatedly. Unleashing chemical weapons against Iranian troops during a decade-long war. Not only against soldiers, but against civilians, firing Scud missiles at the citizens of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran. And not only against a foreign enemy, but even against his own people, gassing Kurdish civilians in Northern Iraq.

The international community had little doubt then, and I have no doubt today, that left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will use these terrible weapons again.
The United States has patiently worked to preserve UNSCOM as Iraq has sought to avoid its obligation to cooperate with the inspectors. On occasion, we've had to threaten military force, and Saddam has backed down.

Faced with Saddam's latest act of defiance in late October, we built intensive diplomatic pressure on Iraq backed by overwhelming military force in the region. The UN Security Council voted 15 to zero to condemn Saddam's actions and to demand that he immediately come into compliance.

Eight Arab nations -- Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Oman -- warned that Iraq alone would bear responsibility for the consequences of defying the UN.

When Saddam still failed to comply, we prepared to act militarily. It was only then at the last possible moment that Iraq backed down. It pledged to the UN that it had made, and I quote, a clear and unconditional decision to resume cooperation with the weapons inspectors.
I decided then to call off the attack with our airplanes already in the air because Saddam had given in to our demands. I concluded then that the right thing to do was to use restraint and give Saddam one last chance to prove his willingness to cooperate.

I made it very clear at that time what unconditional cooperation meant, based on existing UN resolutions and Iraq's own commitments. And along with Prime Minister Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully, we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning.

Now over the past three weeks, the UN weapons inspectors have carried out their plan for testing Iraq's cooperation. The testing period ended this weekend, and last night, UNSCOM's chairman, Richard Butler, reported the results to UN Secretary-General Annan.
The conclusions are stark, sobering and profoundly disturbing.

In four out of the five categories set forth, Iraq has failed to cooperate. Indeed, it actually has placed new restrictions on the inspectors. Here are some of the particulars.
Iraq repeatedly blocked UNSCOM from inspecting suspect sites. For example, it shut off access to the headquarters of its ruling party and said it will deny access to the party's other offices, even though UN resolutions make no exception for them and UNSCOM has inspected them in the past.

Iraq repeatedly restricted UNSCOM's ability to obtain necessary evidence. For example, Iraq obstructed UNSCOM's effort to photograph bombs related to its chemical weapons program.
It tried to stop an UNSCOM biological weapons team from videotaping a site and photocopying documents and prevented Iraqi personnel from answering UNSCOM's questions.

Prior to the inspection of another site, Iraq actually emptied out the building, removing not just documents but even the furniture and the equipment.
Iraq has failed to turn over virtually all the documents requested by the inspectors. Indeed, we know that Iraq ordered the destruction of weapons-related documents in anticipation of an UNSCOM inspection.

So Iraq has abused its final chance.

As the UNSCOM reports concludes, and again I quote, "Iraq's conduct ensured that no progress was able to be made in the fields of disarmament.
"In light of this experience, and in the absence of full cooperation by Iraq, it must regrettably be recorded again that the commission is not able to conduct the work mandated to it by the Security Council with respect to Iraq's prohibited weapons program."
In short, the inspectors are saying that even if they could stay in Iraq, their work would be a sham.

Saddam's deception has defeated their effectiveness. Instead of the inspectors disarming Saddam, Saddam has disarmed the inspectors.
This situation presents a clear and present danger to the stability of the Persian Gulf and the safety of people everywhere. The international community gave Saddam one last chance to resume cooperation with the weapons inspectors. Saddam has failed to seize the chance.

And so we had to act and act now.

Let me explain why.

First, without a strong inspection system, Iraq would be free to retain and begin to rebuild its chemical, biological and nuclear weapons programs in months, not years.
Second, if Saddam can crippled the weapons inspection system and get away with it, he would conclude that the international community -- led by the United States -- has simply lost its will. He will surmise that he has free rein to rebuild his arsenal of destruction, and someday -- make no mistake -- he will use it again as he has in the past.

Third, in halting our air strikes in November, I gave Saddam a chance, not a license. If we turn our backs on his defiance, the credibility of U.S. power as a check against Saddam will be destroyed. We will not only have allowed Saddam to shatter the inspection system that controls his weapons of mass destruction program; we also will have fatally undercut the fear of force that stops Saddam from acting to gain domination in the region.

That is why, on the unanimous recommendation of my national security team -- including the vice president, the secretary of defense, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, the secretary of state and the national security adviser -- I have ordered a strong, sustained series of air strikes against Iraq.

They are designed to degrade Saddam's capacity to develop and deliver weapons of mass destruction, and to degrade his ability to threaten his neighbors.
At the same time, we are delivering a powerful message to Saddam. If you act recklessly, you will pay a heavy price. We acted today because, in the judgment of my military advisers, a swift response would provide the most surprise and the least opportunity for Saddam to prepare.

If we had delayed for even a matter of days from Chairman Butler's report, we would have given Saddam more time to disperse his forces and protect his weapons.
Also, the Muslim holy month of Ramadan begins this weekend. For us to initiate military action during Ramadan would be profoundly offensive to the Muslim world and, therefore, would damage our relations with Arab countries and the progress we have made in the Middle East.

That is something we wanted very much to avoid without giving Iraq's a month's head start to prepare for potential action against it.
Finally, our allies, including Prime Minister Tony Blair of Great Britain, concurred that now is the time to strike. I hope Saddam will come into cooperation with the inspection system now and comply with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. But we have to be prepared that he will not, and we must deal with the very real danger he poses.

So we will pursue a long-term strategy to contain Iraq and its weapons of mass destruction and work toward the day when Iraq has a government worthy of its people.
First, we must be prepared to use force again if Saddam takes threatening actions, such as trying to reconstitute his weapons of mass destruction or their delivery systems, threatening his neighbors, challenging allied aircraft over Iraq or moving against his own Kurdish citizens.

The credible threat to use force, and when necessary, the actual use of force, is the surest way to contain Saddam's weapons of mass destruction program, curtail his aggression and prevent another Gulf War.

Second, so long as Iraq remains out of compliance, we will work with the international community to maintain and enforce economic sanctions. Sanctions have cost Saddam more than $120 billion -- resources that would have been used to rebuild his military. The sanctions system allows Iraq to sell oil for food, for medicine, for other humanitarian supplies for the Iraqi people.

We have no quarrel with them. But without the sanctions, we would see the oil-for-food program become oil-for-tanks, resulting in a greater threat to Iraq's neighbors and less food for its people.

The hard fact is that so long as Saddam remains in power, he threatens the well-being of his people, the peace of his region, the security of the world.

The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people. Bringing change in Baghdad will take time and effort. We will strengthen our engagement with the full range of Iraqi opposition forces and work with them effectively and prudently.

The decision to use force is never cost-free. Whenever American forces are placed in harm's way, we risk the loss of life. And while our strikes are focused on Iraq's military capabilities, there will be unintended Iraqi casualties.

Indeed, in the past, Saddam has intentionally placed Iraqi civilians in harm's way in a cynical bid to sway international opinion.

We must be prepared for these realities. At the same time, Saddam should have absolutely no doubt if he lashes out at his neighbors, we will respond forcefully.
Heavy as they are, the costs of action must be weighed against the price of inaction. If Saddam defies the world and we fail to respond, we will face a far greater threat in the future. Saddam will strike again at his neighbors. He will make war on his own people.
And mark my words, he will develop weapons of mass destruction. He will deploy them, and he will use them.

Because we're acting today, it is less likely that we will face these dangers in the future.
Let me close by addressing one other issue. Saddam Hussein and the other enemies of peace may have thought that the serious debate currently before the House of Representatives would distract Americans or weaken our resolve to face him down.

But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America's vital interests, we will do so.

In the century we're leaving, America has often made the difference between chaos and community, fear and hope. Now, in the new century, we'll have a remarkable opportunity to shape a future more peaceful than the past, but only if we stand strong against the enemies of peace.

Tonight, the United States is doing just that. May God bless and protect the brave men and women who are carrying out this vital mission and their families. And may God bless America.

A Moment in Clarity

from the

The Political Sage

{This is an inspirational column that is used in addition to the main mission, purpose & theme of The Political Sage. This special segment is known for its' many healing and medicinal qualities. The Political Sage created this specific format for one simple reason: to help to lighten the Liberal Load of negativity and ill-intent that so many Conservatives find themselves bombarded with these days.}

Conservative Principal 1: Individuality.

True Happiness is Created, not Pursued.

It is much more fun to smile in the face of adversity. This is the technique I use in the face of a Liberal also.

Man...I am so happy to be a Republican. Smiling just comes easy to people like me. My heart is free from bitterness, my mind is free from tainted constructions and my ideology is based in originality; a concept that is quite foreign to the average Angry Liberal.

True Conservative Ideologies need no external scapegoats as their springboard. I find comfort in the Conservative philosophy that says, "I AM, because I chose to be." It's that individuality that gives every True Conservative mind independence from Liberal mania.

The strong Republican seeks no other mind as it's scapegoat for what I like to call, "Battered-Mind Syndrome," otherwise known as (BMD). BMD is one of the main indicators for Conservatives to call upon when stumbling across a Liberal with this Intellectually debilitating dis-ease. BMD seems to target Democrats, Liberals, Green Party Activists. You might be familiar with two particular BMD victims which include Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell.

BMD a disheartening dis-ease. Just the idea that one's mind can be battered in such complete illusionary pain is frightening to even the Best of us. But it is good to know that there are preventative measures one can take in not letting this scary dis-ease invade your cranial sanctuary. One particular method of prevention is fighting any or all of the ignorant-susceptible perceptive neurons that are found in everyone's system. This means, the next time you hear someone on one of the main media outlets utter anything about the current President, the Administration or even about Republicans in general; DO look into the linguistics that were truly used. In order to fight this ugly dis-ease, you must be "on top of it," constantly. Negative and false information seems to be the "carrier" of this illness.

The reason so many Conservatives seem to escape this type of dis-ease, begins with the first principle that started off this addition of "A Moment in Clarity," and that was happiness. The individual who creates their own happiness, doesn't feel the need to go search for it elsewhere. The "pursuit" of happiness is a perfect example of how the liberal seeks to fill a lot of their voids. What ends up happening is heartbreaking. Anger and disappointment can fill the Liberal who seeks happiness from external means. The Mind is then battered with unfulfilled ego-driven expectations; hence, Battered Mind Syndrome.

Creating happiness means that even when I only hear nagging, psycho-babbling, and negative- smearing banter from the Left all day, I can still smile. I can continue to laugh, live and love and think to my self, and more importantly I realize fully that no matter what; I can ALL-ways think for myself.

Libby Doesn’t Count:
Understanding where Hillary’s Liberal Compassion Ends.
By: Tracy Phernetton

Isn’t one of the symptoms and tell tale signs of Menopause, memory loss? I think so. But, did Hillary really forget about all the pardons her husband gave to his sleazy,
criminal buddies? I could understand, if maybe it was just ONE pardon; but it was 140 sleaze balls that got the Presidential pardon by our all time favorite political womanizer, Bill Clinton and I know she didn’t forget he is her husband, since she just let him out of his kennel to round up more support for her presidential campaign.
"This particular action by the president is one more piece of evidence in their ongoing disregard for the rule of law that they think they don't have to answer to," Hillary said to a group of her supporters shortly after President Bush’s decision to commute Libby’s 2 ½ year prison sentence was made public. President Bush commuted one mans’ prison sentence; he didn’t completely erase the convictions and punishments of 140 sleaze balls. Will someone tell menopause face that there is a huge difference? And also pass it on to her, that I’m still waiting patiently for her and Bill to answer to all the mysterious dead individuals that popped up around the Clinton’s several corruptive cover-ups. If I had the chance to meet the Clinton's, I would take that opportunity to ask them about Suzanne Coleman. Reportedly, Suzanne had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General and she died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head. But it was ruled a suicide. Suzanne also happened to be pregnant at the time of her death. If anybody should be demanding answers here, it should everyone, EXCEPT the Clinton's doing the demanding.
And it also probably just slipped the innocent, menopausal mind of Mrs. Clinton that as she demonized Scooter for “lying under oath,” and committing, “perjury,” and “obstructing justice,” she forgot her husbands’ criminal convictions just a few years back? And just think… she didn’t even think to offer any of her authentic, liberal compassion to Mr. Libby? I mean, she did have to live through a similar legal matter and an overall horrible experience plotted and carried out on her and her husband brought about by the evil, “Right-Wing conspiracy.” Man, this menopausal thing is really starting to diminish Mrs. Clinton’s ability to demonstrate that good ol’ Liberal tolerance.
Scooter’s particular criminal convictions don’t even cause a stir in her big Wellesley College brain? Oh, wait, that’s right; after her husband was found guilty on those charges he bombed the crap out of Iraq because he thought it was time for the ‘Saddam hiding the mass destructive weapons just in time for the inspector’s visits’ was getting a little old. But we all know that Billary also has completely forgotten about that attack on Iraq, because that was too long ago.
And, I suppose I will let Hillary slide on her inability to relate and show empathy to Mr. Libby, since this time, in Libby’s case, it is not a conspiratorial plot brought about by the “Right-Wing Conspiracy,” it is much different. Libby has suffered from the conspiratorial “LEFT-Wing Coup d’etat!” Yeah, that is a very different situation, Mrs. Clinton; I understand now.

The Double Standard Dilemma:
Diagnosing the Liberal History Deficit Disorder (LHDD)
By: Tracy Phernetton

I have come to the conclusion that the The ‘double standards’ that seem to be so common in partisan politics is a disorder. The constant stabs at Republicans by the Democrats and Liberals have always been an insane attempt to portray the Republicans as this elite group of individuals that are just a bunch of white, rich, greedy, prejudiced, racist and insensitive bible-thumpers. It’s true! The Democratic Party has been trying to take down the Republican Party since the days of Lincoln. You see it today when you watch the political talk shows, and listen to the different politicians from the Left that insist on discredit and defacing the Republican Party and it's TRUE platform. Democrats put down and smear Republicans and Conservatives at any opportunity they get. Yet, the Democratic approach to creating their image is founded in a Liberal mental disorder which I have recently diagnosed as Liberal History Deficit Disorder (LHDD).

Let me paint you a better picture of this angry, bitter disorder that seems to appear in so many Liberals around the Country. For instance, let’s just start with Senator Robert Byrd (D) from West Virginia. He is a known segregationist and is well remembered among his peers for his community activism as a proud member of the Klux Klux Klan organization. But who talks about that? Is Al Sharpton calling for his resignation? No, I guess serving a 110 years in the congress and using the "N" word regularly, is acceptable to Sharpton. Instead, we talk about President George W. Bush’s hatred of black people and how Bush deliberately caused Hurricane Katrina so he could wipe out the Black people in New Orleans is more of a red flag for Al.

Another great example of this ‘double standard’ problem is seen everyday in our very transparent and amnesiac liberal media. All’s we hear about are the constant criticisms of President Bush. From Michael Moore’s conspiracy theories that oil and money is the Bush administrations’ only motive in the decision to invade Iraq, to the Nancy Pelosi battle yell to the President telling him to, “Calm down…there’s a new congress in town.” It must take a lot of energy to be that angry and antagonistic all the time. History and the facts must be a Liberal’s biggest fear. Why? Because, the facts always seem to contradict their endless attempts to rewrite history, to make themselves look better.

Let us take a trip back to the year 1998. President Clinton ordered an attack on Iraq stating, “Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.” He goes on to say, “…Prior to the inspection of another site, Iraq actually emptied out the building, removing not just documents but even the furniture and the equipment.” Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Ironically this move by President Clinton came on the eve of his impeachment by the House of Representatives.

Was Clinton's’ bombing parade a “Wag the Dog” situation? Maybe, maybe not. The more important point of the whole rare move by Clinton is found in his public announcement and appeal he laid out as his justification for the attack. And of course, today we only hear about the Left’s protest and dismissal of the nuclear weapons argument that Bush and his administration supposedly “conjured” up. And even more stunning are the insistent accusations against President Bush claiming that he “lied” about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Wouldn’t it be only fair then to say that President Clinton also “lied”? This media memory loss madness is really dangerous to the American psyche. It is also dreadfully irresponsible of the American media to exclude imperative information like this, because it is, in a sense, telling us that historical facts do not matter anymore.

And it is so, the Democratic battle cry marches on; “Bush lied; People died!” Where is the integrity? I got a better catch phrase, and a great idea for a bumper sticker to put on my SUV; "Clinton Lied, Monica Cried; People Died!" Where is the consistency? Why is it that so many liberals seem to be infected with the Selective Memory Syndrome? Or is it in there donkey blood to ignore historical facts, and rewrite it as it fits for them. (“Fitting” to them means; anything that could possibly destroy a Republican fits). Whatever their dilemma may be, is unknown to me. I just know the Liberal History Deficit Disorder (LHDD) truly exists and seems to be contagious and hard to contain. This leads me to believe that where the principles of consistency, integrity and truth are found; No Liberal will be in sight.
